Back at It – Gym & Health

Now that my internship is all sorted for the end of August, I can finally relax and take a breather! I had been quite good at keeping up with exercise and healthy eating, except for the past week, where I was just preparing like mad for interviews.

Today it was quite easy to step back into the swing of things; having whole grain toast for breakfast and fruits and granola for my snacks. I may go to the gym later tonight and run a 5k on the treadmill.

I still would like to try a half-marathon in the fall—so far the farthest I can run is 10k non-stop. I will keep trying!

I have also been doing simple ab workouts and weight training with dumbbells from home. I really notice that I feel so much better when I keep up this lifestyle! Feeling comfortable in your skin really is the most important result you can achieve.

Anyway, I just thought I’d share how my fitness has been going! I’m quite happy with how far I have come, especially with long-distance running.
